Home Studio... finally!

I've been wanting a studio at home forever. It has finally came true. We moved into our new house in April. Just got off of work for the summer this past week and have since been in my studio daily. Here are some pics...

First proof of lotus flowers. The foliage needs to be darker, but overall I like it.

All day at the new studio putting up paintings and setting up the press I ordered a month ago. I have been working on a drypoint of a lotus flower. Haven't had the mindset to paint for a while. Have been trying to not guilt myself into it. Am waiting on new ideas I guess....

My new studio is in downtown Hillsboro, OR. I like the space very much. It's an old building built in the 1890s. It always smells like food since there's a cafe downstairs.

It's taken a lot out of me to depart from the previous studio in N. Portland. I enjoyed being close to my friends but always hated that it was far from home.

My intention for this blog is to keep record of the day to day work that I do in my studio.

So far in my new space, I givin a color lesson and have had a good friend build me some model stands.
